| The Liberty Mutual Surety project was a mechanical contractor default in the states of New York, Pennsylvania & Connecticut which involved 92 separate projects and totaled over $150 million dollars in contracts. This job was completed in January 2006. |
| The construction audit at Greece Central School District in Upstate NY was an audit of $60 million dollars in construction contracts. This audit was completed in October 2006. |
| The Buffalo Life Science Center in Western NY was an affirmative action claim filed through contractor John W. Danforth. The purpose of this claim was to recoup the losses of a difficult project through an acceleration and impact claim. This claim was completed in August 2005, and was over $6 million dollars. |
| The Rochester War Memorial Project, through the City of Rochester, upstate NY was a $75 million dollar project involving a complete renovation of the existing arena. Our firm provided the labor and materials for the mechanical package worth over $5 million and the work was successfully completed in October 2004. However during the project there were several delays and impacts caused by poor design. We assembled a cardinal change claim against the city and provided the expert testimony to win a favorable result of $3 million. |
| The King Brothers Masonry project in Western NY was related to a claim on the masonry contract for the Frank Lloyd Wright Design (Doctor Martin House) in Buffalo NY. The local preservation board was trying to match and preserve the original design. They contracted with King Brothers for the masonry but because of design errors and changes requested daily by the Board King Brothers sustained over a million dollar loss. Our job was to review the specs, design and original scope including preservation rules to show why King Brothers was entitled to additional compensation. |
| The St. Paul / Travelers project in the states of Alabama, Tennessee and lower Nebraska involves 8 separate projects and owners. They total an aggregate of about $76 million dollars with a single project of $48 million dollars. Our duties on this project include dealing with bond claimants (vendors and subs) evaluating their accounting, work completed and progress billings. We also tender and negotiate new contractors to complete the work as well as put together takeover agreements for additional contracts. Our professional consultants provide management for the completing contractors and the projects schedules. |
